June 14, 3GPP Plenary (TSG#80) approved the fifth generation mobile communication technology standard (5G NR) Independent networking function freeze. At this point, 5G has completed the first phase of the full functional standardization work.
This marks the 5G truly become a complete communication system, also means that the first complete 5G international standards have been officially released. More than 600 representatives from a wide range of major telecom operators, Internet equipment companies and other vertical industry companies have witnessed this historic moment. Oppo also here.
Oppo sources said Oppo plans to release commercially available 5G handsets in 2019. Oppo has been continuously layout 5G and other cutting-edge technologies. In May this year, Oppo successfully achieved the world’s first 5G video call demonstration using 3D structured light technology and made important progress in application exploration.
